Rules and Regulations

Hi, and welcome to the MS WINDOWS VISTA Forum. In order to make this a useful and enjoyable forum, please follow the rules below. These rules are not intended to be exhaustive, and we reserve the right to moderate as we see fit.

Standard forum rules apply, but as a reminder, here are our rules:

1. Abuse (insults) of the forum or other members is not allowed, in either posts, avatars or signatures
2. Abusive language , either in posts, avatars or signatures is not allowed. We have a swear word censor in operation, but the language is no means completely restricted by it. Foul language will be determined at the moderators discretion.
3. Illegal activities such as hacking must NOT be discussed on this forum.
4. Account sharing is forbidden. If you want to post on this forum, sign up for your own individual account
5. Signing up for an account as someone you're not is identity theft. These accounts will be deleted, and extreme cases reported to the police.
6. Spaming is not allowed. Definitions of spamming include (but are not limited too):
Posting useless or irrelevant posts
Adding pointless posts to a dying thread to keep it going
7. Sexually explicit content is not allowed, either in post, signatures or avatars. No links to porn sites are allowed.
8. You can link to external items such as Ebay auctions, as long as the items aren't something which would breach the external links rule, and as long as you aren't promoting your own Ebay auction.

People who sign up and break the rules immediately and are clearly here to spoil the forum experience will instantly have their accounts deleted.

However, people who have clearly broken the rules by accident will just be given a friendly reminder.

Similarly, abuse of private messages will not be tolerated

The process for rule breakers is as follows:

1. Warning on the offending post (though the post may have to be deleted.)
2. Removal of special rank (if any.) If more than one rank is owned (i.e: Respected poster and site admin) this stage will be repeated until no ranks remain. If no ranks are owned, we will proceed to stage 3.
3. 3 day ban
4. Perma-ban/ account deleted

The moderators reserve the right to skip any of these stages depending on the severity of the offence, and to delete any posts which break the rules. The moderators decision is final.
