|
I've had a few problems installing and running games on Vista but most have been quite easily solved by either running programs as administrator or changing compatability to XP (Or both)
This time however while trying to install a game (Right after clicking the install icon actually) i'm getting a message that says...
"AutoLaunchAnywhere has stopped working. Windows will now close this program and notify you if there is a solution"
And thats as far as i can get. Bah!
Can anybody help me out? |

Does the game have a specailist installer package which you are using- for example "sold out software" budget software uses the .now thingie when you autoload the CD. But if you explore the contents of the disc you can find a stand alone windows executable installer, which bypasses this. Is this the case with your game? _________________ Every time an angel cries, Internet Explorer has crashed and died.

I actually have the same problem although it only seems to be with downloaded applications. Juiced 2 and Football Manager 2008 installed and ran perfect, but downloaded applications such as Firefox, Avast and even Windows Live Messenger won't install. As soon as I double click to run the installation, I get a seperate window saying 'Windows Live Messenger has stopped working' 'A problem stopped the program working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'. It is really weird as I have only had the PC 2 days. Any help would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
