As a teacher who publishes assignments to a school website, I've run into a frustrating problem using Frontpage 2003 on my new computer that's running under VISTA. Wishing now I had my XP system back...
When creating/editing my assignments page on my web and I try to select a session guide or assignment saved in PDF on my school's server for a hyperlink, as I have always been able to do with FP on my old XP computer, FrontPage crashes. I've found a suggested fix for this problem from another, third party forum that calls for modifying the the DWORD value for Frontpg.exe by running regedit from the command prompt when logged-on as Administrator. Others are saying that this works. However, on my system (VISTA "Home" Edition) when I try this, even though I'm shown as being the Administrator, I get a message returned saying, "Access Denied." Can anybody help with this. |
